Boynton McLean Tompkins Co NY -------------------- Binghamton Dec 12th / 56 Dear Parents you have ere this reaches you anxiously awated to hear how we are & of our journey at this place we arived at Darwins about dusk all ware glad to see us we did not suffer much with the cold Austana & the baby caught an addition to their cold we remained at virgil until yesterday & came to B 1/2 past 2 PM we find our self's in our own room very plesantly Situated we think A & the baby is better with their cold & I am much better A is some tired in arrainging the room but feals quite at home the friends ware glad to see us & think we have a noble boy we ware glad that you had so fine a day to draw wood & trust you have a fine mile [?] & well prepaired for use I left in so much of a hurry that I did not say to you as much as I intended konwing you wanted some money & I will now take this opertunity to enclose ten dollars & when we come up I trust I can do more I feal that we can not repay you all for the kindness shown us trusting we may well remember the commandments to honour our dear Parents that our dayes may be long in the land the Lord our God giveth us we have your Prayers & trust all will be answerd as far as concistant to His will This is a beautiful day we are happy to find all our friends well Bro & sister Barnes from Maine vilage is here they came last eve Returning from a visit from Cochocton visiting their oldest daughter I have no news to write you I will close we would gladly see you all here at B Louisa & Libby Eddy growes smarter every day A sayes he has laughed out loud he may talk in a fiew weeks I will leav the rest for A to write Remember us to all the friends we are affectionately your children Edward & Tain [Written below, in pencil] PS it is so late A will not have time to write in time ["to" crossed out] for the mail E J Angell
