Addressed to: Miss Lizzie Angell 261 Alexander St. Rochester, N.Y. -------------------- Waverly, N.Y. Feb. 7, 1886 Dear Lizzie, I cant make it seem as though you are nineteen years old today. I went to send you a letter so you would get it yesterday and you will have to wait for your present because it hasnt come yet. Mamie sent me all the things to clean ["your" crossed out] my fingernails with you know powder [??] & a thing to make them shine, they are real nice. She sent the baby the sweetest little sacque it is a lovely pattern I think your skirt will be so nice and she hasn't anything like it either. Friday night I stayed all night with Grace [?] we studied about the Crimean war our Examination in English history is going to be on that principally it is awfully hard to find anything on it. Yesterday I had such a good time I dont know when I have had so much fun. There is a solid crust over in the field next to Elm St. & George Jones & Mary made them each a tobogan they are real nice I took the bob over and we rode down hill on the crust we went just like a streak and a long ways too. once Grace and I were on the bob & Seward [?] Baldwin was going to stear us down Grace was almost off & she stuck her feet in the snow & ["he & I" crossed out] it stoped the sleigh so suddenly that G & I both went off & Seward turned a complete summerset over G & me & two or three after that it looked perfectly killing. there were about six boy & Grace and I were the only girls we rode down all day long. Our missionary band is going to lead the meeting I dread it awfully. The baby has dark blue eyes & her hair is a golden brown she weighed seven pounds & has gained 9 oz. this week. She is ever so strong when she was only 2 days old she raised her head all alone she is so good and just as cute as can be pretty too. she looks some like Jessie. I was going to send you that yarn [?] a good while ago but Papa [?] said you might well buy some so I didn't. Ella's birthday is the 18 of March. I must stop now. Good bye Tanie [Written vertically in the top margin of the final page] I wish you many many happy years & an specially happy one this year. Tanie. I wish I could send my [unclear] along too.
