Dear Lizzie, One night has passed over my head and I am all right. Monday noon I got so far on your letter where Grace came up and wanted me to go to class meeting but I didn't want to so she stayed [unclear] Jim. Grace and I went to Pimpletons pond [?] and we got some cattales [?] they are lovely. It was a perfect day and I found a turtle shell it is quite a curiosity. the shell is all put together by suture points [joints?] and I am going to make a bag out of it you know put some cloth [unclear] where its ["mouth" crossed out] head ought to be and some at the other end I think it will be real pretty. I have got my first fifty cents from milk Saturday night Mrs. Jones comenced taking and Mrs Brewster is going to take a pint [?] tonight and ever [unclear] other night isn't that fine! Yesterday I went to church and S.S. [??] and prayer meeting in the evening. G. went with me to church at night. I will tell you what I did Saturday I helped with the breakfast dishes and washed and ironed the _lap robes_ I rubed [?] hard enough to rub the skin off of both my little fingers; then I swept Papas room and dusted it and washed out the crockery dusted the sitting room and music room and washed out my crockery. In the afternoon I went to call on Mr. [unclear; "C"?] neice and I think she is real nice, then I went down street and after the dishes were done I cried thats all. I invited E. [unclear; "H"? "K"?] Grace and Mr. C. niece up to tea Wednesday night and then Papa Mr. C. Ella Grace and I and I guess his little girl, ["and I" crossed out] are going down to the settlement to a prayer meeting and G is going to stay all night isn't that nice. I guess that we are all going chestnuting when they get ripe G. incheded [??] and I guess [unclear; "He"?] too. Say you dont want to forget my lace and garter classes. Ella and Papa and Jim. send their love to all and Ella says that she will try and find a spair minute to answer your letter that she is expecting. Mamie will have to take part of this for her letter too. Write soon.
